Chelsea Super Sprint Jeunesse

The Chelsea Nordiq Ski Club is pleased to invite you the third annual Chelsea Super Sprint Jeunesse festival in collaboration with the Gatineau Loppet on Saturday, February 27 at 1 pm. This event promises to be very exciting for young athletes between 8 and 18 years of age. As always, the course will feature obstacles, jumps and tight turns. This year’s event will take place on the Ski Tour Canada 2016 trail.


Iniski Rossignol 

Budding cross-country skiers will get to experience the rush of adrenalin first-hand on the Ski Tour Canada 2016 trails, on Sunday, February 28, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Rossignol team will accompany kids aged 5 to 13 on and beside the trail. Registrations start at 9:30 a.m.!



World Cup trail open to all

Are you already familiar with cross-country skiing? Bring your equipment and test your skills! The World Cup trail will be open to all on Sunday, February 28, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.


Family Zone

Kids AND parents will be thrilled by the wide range of activities provided for them. The always popular giant inflatable structures will delight the kids, compliments of Subway. The aerial challenge and climbing wall provided by Altitude Gym will just add to the fun!



L’Après-ski Archibald

Resistance is futile when it comes to beer from the Archibald microbrewery! Beer-lovers will be sure to find something to their taste, and will appreciate these beers brewed in Quebec from German and Belgian-inspired recipes. You’ll find it under a big top, along with snacks. Cheers!

Cross-country skiing, winter sports and physical fitness experts will be there to tell you about their products and services: Rossignol, Vellend Tech Inc., Polar, Zizu Optics, Craft, Tourisme Outaouais, Full Cycle/Expedition Wakefield and Cyclery.

Athletes training

Make the most of Ski Tour Canada 2016, and come and admire the world’s top skiers prepare for the first stage of Ski Tour Canada 2016. Saturday from 9 to 11 a.m., Sunday from 8 to 10 a.m., and Monday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.


Tethered hot air balloon rides

The Gatineau Hot Air Balloon Festival is organizing tethered hot air balloon rides that will go as high as 60 feet, winds permitting. From 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday February 28, until March 1, inclusive. * Weather permitting.


Demonstration and introduction to fat bikes

From February 28 to March 1, try out one of the increasingly popular fat bikes. Kids of all ages will appreciate this experience on a trail rigged with challenges!

Opening ceremony

On Sunday, February 28, starting at 7 p.m., the Canadian Museum of History’s Grand Hall will host the ceremony at which the Ski Tour Canada 2016 athletes will be introduced. Be sure to join us for this splendid unique and colourful moment!


You can park your car in the neighbouring streets. We also advise you to use the parking of the Robert-Guertin Center (125, de Carillon Street) and to take the shuttle which will make regular rounds between the center and the site of the competition from Sunday until Tuesday, from 7 am to 4 pm.
